Two of the most memorable flights for me occurred just either side of the 05-06 new year with a 340km flight in the Universitys Bergfalke out of Waikerie, and a 360km flight in an ASH25 out of Gawler. The flight from Gawler was made particularly memorable by the fact it was part of a national competition. Sitting in the rear seat of this 25m aircraft, watching Aaron Stroop, masterfully guiding his magnificent aircraft was nothing short of awe inspiring. It sealed the deal for my entering of the 2007 Australian Juniors. |
