- Most Memorable Flight My second flight in my Ka-8, beautiful sunny day and endless lift. I could have flown to the Moon it seemed.
I started flying in 1984 in New Zealand. Military service with lots of travel have kept me from flying as much as I'd like. In 2005 I bought my first and current glider, a 1962 Ka-8. It's not going to keep up with the modern 'glass ships, but it'll certainly out climb them. I hope to move up in performance as I get time and money to invest in soaring.
